Ironic, isn't it?
Ironic, isn't it?
Date 5/4/2000 12:00 AM | Topic: OpinionTax Software In this increasingly diverse corner of the world that we live in [this is ironic, because Northeast Iowa really isn't all that diverse] people of varying levels of skill and temperament are being flung [supposed to be funny because the image of people being flung is instant comedy, but not actually all that funny] together in an enormous melting pot of beef stew [absurd, because it's unexpected and nobody's really being cooked]. With all these different people all together on this one little world a movement to level the playing the field if you catch my drift [funny because I have no drift].
Read the family finance guide from Moneynet.co.uk, providing information on family finance issues such as child trust funds (CTF's) and child tax credits.
Software Tax This movement is called political correctness, and its goal is no longer only to point out the differences between people, as in the statement "Golly, [funny because nobody has used the word 'Golly' since 1954, and even then only in conjunction with 'Beave' as in the phrase 'Golly, Beave'] that guy is bald!" [just funny because bald people are funny]. No, that's not enough for these politically correct pundits [funny because nobody knows what a pundit really is. On second thought, not really funny at all], now they call old baldy 'follically challenged' as if to say, "Ha! (Political Correctologists always start sentences out with 'Ha!') [there's no such thing as political correctologists, and if there were, they wouldn't start any sentences off with 'Ha!'] you're bald and dumb, because you don't know what follically means."

Every Landlord Tax Deduction At first I was against the whole Politically Correct Movement, but I've since changed my mind and jumped on the bandwagon, and as my first contribution to the cause I'm writing this politically correct humor [ironic because it's really not all that funny] column for all those people who've looked around the caf on a Thursday evening and watched everyone laughing, only to turn to the back page and find nothing to laugh at. So as you've probably noticed I've been pointing out all of the subtle [blatant] jokes that I've peppered this column with. [Ironic because all of the 'jokes' in this article have been the statements in brackets, which seems to imply that without them there to be 'funny' {I've put the words 'funny' and 'jokes' in quotes as if the jokes in this column aren't really funny. HA!} there would be nothing funny in the whole column {ironic because there is nothing funny in this column} that I'm pointing out all the jokes in.] Get it?
