Grant allows for new program and revision

Employer Tax Guide Lisa Geissler ('04) had Radford-Hill speak in her Poly-Sci 47 class, Intro to Social Policy. "She spoke about welfare legislation and the different acts that have gone through. She showed us a movie called 'Legacy' which was about a housing project in Chicago. We learned that that was where she had grown up, and that she knew the people we were watching."

Tax Services Out of the endowment, fifty thousand dollars has been budgeted a year for five years for student fellowship grants.

Services Tax "Fifty students have received financial aid scholarships to help support them while they work at various church camps or in churches and also for seminary visits over the past year," said Connie Barclay, program secretary. Financial Aid scholarships are one thousand dollars, and the vocational grant for seminary visits is $250 a year, for as many visits as one would like.

Master Tax Guide "The vocational grant allowed me the opportunity to explore my seminary options and make the best decision for my future," said Ryan Beeman ('03). "It really helped to visit Iliff (a seminary in Denver, CO) because you are in the seminary environment and you get a better picture of what life is like, if the place is really for you." Beeman was one of five students who were awarded the $250 grant.
